Arizona Divorce Attorney David Mercer

David graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Arizona Summit Law School. He was the co-valedictorian of his class and graduated summa cum laude. After that, he graduated with his Legum Magister from Arizona State University.

David spent most of his early career as a solo lawyer representing low-to-middle income individuals. While he focused primarily on family law, his practice also included bankruptcy and estate planning cases.

David especially enjoyed representing underdogs because he went through the family court system himself before he was a lawyer, so he knows how complicated and emotionally draining a family court case can be.

These days, David’s practice is limited almost exclusive to family law matters, but he finds that his prior experience in other practice areas can be helpful when dealing with the complicated financial issues that can come up in family court cases.

David has represented individuals throughout the State of Arizona in their family court cases and enjoys traveling to and representing people in more rural counties. He has a passion for addressing access to justice issues and believes that refusing to limit himself to the courthouses of a single county helps to deepen his understanding of both family law and trial practice.

David works hard for his clients and believes that putting in the extra time and effort is what helps him to represent his clients effectively and skillfully in court.
